Well, here we are at the end of yet another year. Hard to believe.... I know that 2008 will be great though, and I am looking forward to it! Remember when we were worrying about New Year's Eve 1999, and what would happen when it was the year 2000? Wow, that seems so long ago!

Well, I have been feeling okay, and not letting the chemo get the best of me. ;) I still have bad hot flashes day and night, and never know when and/or how frequently they will pop up! At this point, I have no tingling of fingers/toes, and nor any rashes or itching. However, these side effects usually do come later in the Taxol chemo. Prayer request -- that I NOT get any of these side effects!

Next chemo is Thursday, January 3, 1 pm-ish.

Our (Rod's and mine) prayer for each of you reading this is that you will have a blessed 2008 and may it be a year of many new beginnings and many wonderful memories.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Blesssing's and Held in the
Comfort of God's Love!!!

From a recent commentary in my my Daily Walk Bible, NLT.
Today God offers his love and mercy, but there is coming a day when his wrath and judgment will pour down upon all who have ignored his invitation. That means you if you have spurned his offer of salvation in Jesus Christ. That means your unsaved family members and friends. And that means there is no better time than now to warn those you love of the peril they face by continuing in their unbelief. Can you afford to wait?

Prayer from the Billy Graham site (
http://www.billygraham.com/) and there is a great video on this site:

How to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God's Assurance: His Word
If you prayed this prayer, The Bible says ..."Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " — Romans 10:13 (NIV)

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." — Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)

Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the "new birth." This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ.

To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Read your Bible everyday to know Christ better.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Tell others about Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
5. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
