Some tidbits/updates on my treatments:
I have just now lost my bottom eye lashes…especially on my right eye. (But the hair on my head continues to grow.) It is so weird that it is just happening. I have heard that things happen AFTER you finish chemo.
I also have a dark spot on my two big toenails (which is common during chemo), they don't hurt, they just look like I bruised them.
And, my ankles/feet/bottom of legs have had some swelling. I keep them elevated as much as possible, and watch my intake of salt/sodium.
These are all things that are part of chemo treatment, so the only surprise is that they came "after" I ended chemo! But...all things considered, I still am doing good.
And...this too shall pass. ;)
And, another beautiful weather day here. (No wind...love that!)

Thought for Sat, 3/22/08: (from Open Windows Devotional)
When we recognize who God truly is and catch a vision in our hearts of His glory, the trifling matters that often consume our time and energy will fade away.
Forgive us, Father, for wasting precious moments with insignificant things. Help us today to focus on your loving, awesome presence with us.

No comments:

From a recent commentary in my my Daily Walk Bible, NLT.
Today God offers his love and mercy, but there is coming a day when his wrath and judgment will pour down upon all who have ignored his invitation. That means you if you have spurned his offer of salvation in Jesus Christ. That means your unsaved family members and friends. And that means there is no better time than now to warn those you love of the peril they face by continuing in their unbelief. Can you afford to wait?

Prayer from the Billy Graham site (
http://www.billygraham.com/) and there is a great video on this site:

How to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God's Assurance: His Word
If you prayed this prayer, The Bible says ..."Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " — Romans 10:13 (NIV)

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." — Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)

Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the "new birth." This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ.

To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Read your Bible everyday to know Christ better.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Tell others about Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
5. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
