Well, I said I would update "in a few days"...and, it is about 30 days later (is that a few?!). Anyway, things are just great. I started back to work May 19, and it is great to be "back in my normal life". I am feeling good, still taking it pretty easy, but feeling good.
The high school graduations May 17 and 18 were just awesome. It is hard to believe that they are old enough to graduate high school. We are so proud of them.
Cody is going to Beloit, Kansas to go to Masonry School.
Brandy & Jessica (along with Lakin who graduated last year) are going to go to Highland Community College for 2 years, in Highland, Kansas (about 25-30 minutes north of Atchison).
Adam is going to Vo-Tech in Atchison, Kansas.
Oh, and...Kyle Eichelberger, our oldest nephew (21), who has been going to the University of Kansas got accepted into the University of Kansas Pharmacy School. He, and the whole family, are SO excited. We had lots to celebrate at the Atchison graduation May 17.
And, Zach is going to Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.
Rod and I are starting to "get rid of things" around the house, mainly the basement & garage. (I think I have kept every purse I ever had...and they were all worn out...why did I keep them?!) It is just amazing how much "stuff" (junk!) you can accumulate (in just 17 years of marriage). We also got the yard back into shape (weeding, cutting stuff around our crabapple tree, which I wish would just be gone one day when I come home), putting mulch down, etc. Zach is cutting out lawn this year and doing a mighty fine job.
Tammy tidbits:
* My eyelashes are still in and doing good.
* Still no additional leg/ankle/feet swelling.
* My hair is still growing and still a sandy blonde. I have not gone to Brooke to get a hair style yet...just not quite long enough.
* I continue to feel good, and really just letting my body rejuvenate and continue to heal.
* My big toes are having the "post chemo" side effects now. When I was in Houston they both got a black spot on them. Now the nail is trying to lift off the bed, and is kinda whitish under the nail. I keep them soaked twice a day in vinegar & water, and are getting better. I will be glad when this particular "post chemo" side effect grows out! (This is very common in chemo patients.)
* The oncologist nurse told me it would take 2 full years for my body to get back to normal. (I had always heard a year I told her, but she said, nope, 2 full years.)
Well, hope you that are reading this are doing well. Until the next update...may God continue to bless us all!

From a recent commentary in my my Daily Walk Bible, NLT.
Today God offers his love and mercy, but there is coming a day when his wrath and judgment will pour down upon all who have ignored his invitation. That means you if you have spurned his offer of salvation in Jesus Christ. That means your unsaved family members and friends. And that means there is no better time than now to warn those you love of the peril they face by continuing in their unbelief. Can you afford to wait?
Prayer from the Billy Graham site (http://www.billygraham.com/) and there is a great video on this site:
How to Pray:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.
God's Assurance: His Word
If you prayed this prayer, The Bible says ..."Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " — Romans 10:13 (NIV)
Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." — Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)
Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the "new birth." This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ.
To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Read your Bible everyday to know Christ better.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Tell others about Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
5. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
