Our prayers go out to all that are affected by the ice storm in the midwest. Please be careful, and safe. I hesitate to tell you all in the ice store that it has been around 80 degrees here in Houston. However, today is only supposed to be 59 and rain. (I know, that is still pretty good!) And, only getting to a high of about 45 degrees on Saturday. We'd love to be able to send you a few degrees to melt the ice! ;)

I continue to do good after my first Taxol treatment last Thursday. I did not have any serious side effects and have been feeling pretty good. I have to do these treatment's weekly and will be on Thursday afternoon's thru mid-February 2008.

The Tibetan Yoga seems to be doing good for my body...hence the feeling good. I have been seriously doing the yoga (breathing) 4-5 days a week. I want to do whatever it takes for my body to handle the treatments!

Food update: I am not really craving anything these days, but my two current favorite foods are KFC Cole Slaw and an apple fritter donut...yum!

From a recent commentary in my my Daily Walk Bible, NLT.
Today God offers his love and mercy, but there is coming a day when his wrath and judgment will pour down upon all who have ignored his invitation. That means you if you have spurned his offer of salvation in Jesus Christ. That means your unsaved family members and friends. And that means there is no better time than now to warn those you love of the peril they face by continuing in their unbelief. Can you afford to wait?

Prayer from the Billy Graham site (
http://www.billygraham.com/) and there is a great video on this site:

How to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God's Assurance: His Word
If you prayed this prayer, The Bible says ..."Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " — Romans 10:13 (NIV)

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." — Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)

Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the "new birth." This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ.

To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Read your Bible everyday to know Christ better.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Tell others about Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
5. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
