This morning I am feeling good, but the true test will be tonight and tomorrow, in the past that is when the bad feelings came about. However, with this treatment I did NOT have to have the shot 24 hours after the chemo, that should help tremendously with how I feel! Here is what our (mine and Rod's) day at M.D. Anderson looked like yesterday.

9:00 - Arrived at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for a 9:15 am appt. to give blood (2nd floor) They called me back about 9:45 am, and waiting in the back holding room for about 5 minutes, then it only took them about 2 minutes to get the vile they needed.

9:50 - Took the elevator to the 5th floor to Dr. Margorie Green, Oncologist, appt. at 10 am

10:05 - They called me back to do my vitals.

10:15 - They called me back to the room. The nurse practitioner talked to us, and did an exam, and answered the questions we have for each visit.

10:25 - Saw Dr. Green and she confirmed/verified what the nurse practitioner told us.

10:45 - Stopped by the Research Department to get my updated DVD for my Yoga Study. (I am in a 7-week Tibetan Yogo Study at M.D. Anderson to see if it helps with the effects of chemo. I meet with a Yogo instructor, Jennifer, 1:1 each Tuesday 9:30-10:30 am for 7 weeks, have 3 weeks to go. Since I am doing so good, it must be working.)

11:00 - We went to have lunch at the Anderson Cafe...they have ALL kinds of food. My kind of place! ;)

11:45 - Went to the beauty salon at M.D. Anderson to get my little stubble's shaved off.

There was a lady waiting there also who said to tell my Mom that she did a good job with me, as I had a great shaped head...ha!

12:15 - Went to the 8th floor to check in for my chemo, which the appt. is really at 1 pm, but...we have to wait somewhere, so may as well be there, and maybe they can get us in early.

12:45 - Put on my numbing cream so when they put the needle in my port on the right side, it will be numb and not hurt.

1:00 - They call me back to my private hospital room. They have a TV & DVD in there too. They also give you snacks and/or food if you want need. (You know I would mention this!)

1:15 - Shortly after 1 pm they were starting my IV's. (The numbing stuff worked!) They give me steroids and something else for about 45 minutes.

2:00 - They start the Taxol, will take about 60 minutes. They will give it very slowly, so I will not have any reactions, etc.

3:00 - The chemo is complete, and they do a flushing. Everything went well, and we expect it to continue well until next Thursday when I will do it all over again!

3:15-ish - Leave M.D. Anderson Cancer Center

3:30 - We have to stop for milk.

4:00 - Rod goes out for a walk as it is mid-70's, and I do my yoga at home via the DVD the study provides me.

That is more than enough for an update! But, I know I have told some of you, they say the M.D. in M.D. Anderson Cancer Center stands for "Most of the Day", and we have found that to be true! :)

Have a great weekend all....

From a recent commentary in my my Daily Walk Bible, NLT.
Today God offers his love and mercy, but there is coming a day when his wrath and judgment will pour down upon all who have ignored his invitation. That means you if you have spurned his offer of salvation in Jesus Christ. That means your unsaved family members and friends. And that means there is no better time than now to warn those you love of the peril they face by continuing in their unbelief. Can you afford to wait?

Prayer from the Billy Graham site (
http://www.billygraham.com/) and there is a great video on this site:

How to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God's Assurance: His Word
If you prayed this prayer, The Bible says ..."Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " — Romans 10:13 (NIV)

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." — Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)

Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the "new birth." This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ.

To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Read your Bible everyday to know Christ better.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Tell others about Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
5. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
