Only 8 more radiations to go now!

My last radiation is still on track for Monday, April 21. Of course, I then have some other appointments to "finish up" my time at M.D. Anderson that week.

Wow...it is amazing that it is almost time for me to be coming home...I can hardly wait, and am so excited. (Plus it is starting to get pretty humid here in Houston, and they tell me I am getting out at a good time!) However, I will miss the wonderful apartment I am in, and I will miss Lorene & Robert Williams. They have been so very wonderful to me and Rod. And, I will miss Dave & Darlene Wyatt in Chappell Hill, Texas...they have been wonderful to us too. Plus so many others I have met here in Texas; some who are breast cancer survivors and some who are not, but all are kind folk. However, there will still be e-mail and phone communication to be had...ha!

May God bless each of you reading this!

A thought for the day (from my Daily Walk Bible, April 4, I Kings 12-16): Others will follow your footsteps more easily than they will follow your advice.

No comments:

From a recent commentary in my my Daily Walk Bible, NLT.
Today God offers his love and mercy, but there is coming a day when his wrath and judgment will pour down upon all who have ignored his invitation. That means you if you have spurned his offer of salvation in Jesus Christ. That means your unsaved family members and friends. And that means there is no better time than now to warn those you love of the peril they face by continuing in their unbelief. Can you afford to wait?

Prayer from the Billy Graham site (
http://www.billygraham.com/) and there is a great video on this site:

How to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God's Assurance: His Word
If you prayed this prayer, The Bible says ..."Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " — Romans 10:13 (NIV)

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." — Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)

Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the "new birth." This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ.

To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Read your Bible everyday to know Christ better.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Tell others about Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
5. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
